User and environmentally friendly pocket year planner produced for Burton College students

The new academic year is upon us and Burton College is welcoming its new intake with a user and environmentally friendly pocket year planner designed and print managed by marketing services agency, Mulberry Square of Mountsorrel, Leicestershire.

The client brief involved the development of a user friendly, environmentally friendly, printed item that differed from its original booklet style, was engaging in its design and reduced costs.

The project managers at Mulberry Square suggested the implementation of a product that was used successfully by another client, Leicestershire NHS Trust, as part of a campaign to engage with students on the subject of healthy eating. The Z-Card is a product that benefits from the following; Impact, people open them up and read them; Retention, people keep them for future reference and; Information, Z-Cards carry a large amount of information in a very compact space by cleverly planning the three term academic year into the available space using the folds as a column structure.

By implementing this product as a solution, Mulberry Square were able to reduce Burton College’s paper usage on this project by 90% compared to previous years and reduce costs by a significant amount t’boot!
