Background

The UK First Party formed at the end of February 2009 as a new political party hoping to be a voice for the many millions in Britain who feel there is no-one who currently speaks for them.

Task

  • To create a brand for the party, reflecting the values and aspirations of the organisation and their target audience
  • To create a content managed website giving the party an online presence to keep the public informed of latest news and events concerning the party and reflecting its values and policies
  • To capture opt-in data from website visitors, enabling the party to track usage data and identify potential new members
  • To deliver the project within a strict time frame and budget

Solution

  • We worked closely with key members of the party in order to understand their values so that the project could be focused around these
  • We created a UK focus in the branding of the party, using the colours of the Union Jack for their logo and website
  • We developed a content managed website which provides visitors with information about the party and which also has up to date party news available

Results

  • New political party has strong, focused brand and online presence in place prior to high profile public launch
  • Website attracts over 37,000 page views in first month, with an average dwell time of 3 mins 20 secs
  • Project delivered on time and within budget for 2009 European election campaign
