Our Culture & Ethos
We are serious about our Corporate Responsibilities
Mulberry Square operates to the following Corporate Responsibility principles and as such expects all suppliers and contractors to adhere to these same principles.
We are serious about our corporate responsibilities. Those responsibilities extend to any action we take which impacts upon our customers, our people, our shareholders, our suppliers and the communities around our business.
Our people embrace this sense of corporate responsibility in order to enhance the value of both the Company's and our own reputation. As well as meeting minimum standards set by the Company, each person determines which issues are most relevant to their particular role. By approaching any issues in good faith and with a passionate commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities, the Company aims to become a role model for other companies with integrity.
The offering, giving, solicitation or acceptance of any bribe, whether it is cash or any other inducement is strictly prohibited by the Company.
This applies to any person or organisation, wherever they are situated and whether they are a public official, body, private person or company. It also applies to any individual employee, agent, other body or person acting for the Company.
Any activity designed to gain any commercial, contractual or regulatory advantage for the Company in a way which is unethical, whether that is in order to gain any personal advantage, pecuniary or otherwise, for the individual or anyone connected with the individual is also forbidden.
The printing and design industries in general are well known as having a dismissive attitude to software, font and image licensing. Mulberry Square believes in paying for the resources it uses and that means that all of the Company's software and fonts are fully licensed and all stock photographs are obtained from legitimate sources. This policy ensures reliable software and creative resources for the Company and as a result, our customers.
Mulberry Square's paper purchasing procedures pay full regard to suppliers who show recycled paper or paper manufactured from pulp sourced from well-managed forests and other controlled sources. Naturally we then actively encourage our customers to make use of the 'green' options available to them.
We choose to have all of our own corporate stationery printed on FSC accredited materials and actively encourage the production of printed products to our customers that are produced on recycled, fully FSC or PEFC certified.
We seek to minimise waste and to recycle wherever possible. Where waste is unavoidable it is disposed of in accordance with regulations by the local authority. It is the Company's aim to ensure that our equipment is maintained in order to ensure energy efficiency. It is also a prime requirement for new and/or replacement equipment that this criterion is followed.
Further to our commitment to reduce our impact on the environment, we have now with the assistance of Climate Care, invested in enough carbon credit to make our reliable UK web hosting carbon neutral from 1st July 2008 for a period of 3 years.
Mulberry Square is committed to ensuring all internal and external communications are accessible to all. This includes optimising websites and printed literature for people with disabilities, poor eyesight or learning difficulties as well as other strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of our communications.
All of our websites are constructed in line with the W3C accessibility guidelines and the UK Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
